In case some of you have not seen this, I came upon quite by accident. In an old book called The Moodie Book printed in 1906 by the Marquis of Ruvigny and Raineval (the author's mother was a Moodie), there is a lineage line from Robert the Bruce which includes the surname MOODIE several times. While this is my name as well only by the time my ancestors arrived in North America the spelling was changed to the more common English spelling of Moody.
While searching down through this lineage line I saw the name KYNOIMOND and KYNNINMOND. These names descend from Robert the Bruce's daughter Lady Mary STUART who married George DOUGLAS the 1st Earl of Angus.
This Kinnaman name is of great interest to me as well because my father's DNA matched to this surname and to see these two names linked in a lineage line like this Most Likely has some meaning.
I will try to decipher this and relay the info here. The lineage line was too large to fit all on one page so when I scanned it this was the smallest copy I could get onto one page. I have to read it with a magnifying glass so I hope I won't make any mistakes. But I'm sure one could find the proper info in case I do as this is quite an historical lineage line.
