Hi Bobby! The information that I have shows that Daniel and Kittie (Kittie was born in VA) Kinsler living in Marion County, Florida in 1867.They were married in Marion County.I was able to secure a copy of the marriage license. It's not much.I also have a copy of the Homestead Application that Daniel completed for the land that Daniel initially purchased.Iim attempting to secure copies of all documents(marriage licenses, death, birth certificates, etc. of the early Kinslers to have them bound for distribution for the Kinslers.
I don't know if the Kinslersin North and South Carolina have any family reunions. Charlie indicated that his family no longer do them. There may be interest in doing a joint family reunion with the two branches of the Kinslers. The Kinslers were a prominent family in South Carolina history.I do know that they took very good care of their slaves. There was a Kinsler slave who lived to be 100.I'm attempting to secure copies of all the Kinslers' wills and inventories to see if I can locate names of the slaves. It appears that Daniel may have been the slave to John Herman Kinsler.I have a copy of his will.If he grouped the slaves according to family units, I have the names of Daniel's parents and his siblings.I have a professior at Howard who is giving me some assistance.
I'm trying to locate information on Annie L. Kinsler.According to genealogical records, she was a teacher in 1900.I have solid documentation that backs this up.The schools where she taught in Marion County no longer exist and the school system doesn't have anyinformation.I didn't expect them too, but it was hopeful thinking. Do you have any informatiion on her or know of anyone who does?
