I have a copy of "The Will of Chancey Commodore Kise 1816-1860", taken from a website on the internet..In it, Mr. Kise states that his name is Chancey C. Kise, NOT Commodore Chancey Kise, as everyone assumes it is. He also lists his wife as Manerva, and a son Ulysses G. Kise is also mentioned. This Will is documented and on record in Lawrence Co., Kentucky Wills, pages 56-57.. Does any else out there have any real documentation of his proper name? I tend to believe the will..This man is my granddaughters 4th gr-grandfather, and I'd like to get it right..Please reply.
