Steadman Charles Kitchener married Florence Christina Burchell ( born 6 May 1874 Westminster, London died 4 June 1954 Bradford) They married 20 January 1904 Children:- twins Lily born 1 May 1910 (I don’t think she’s alive) George Edward born 1 May 1910 died 31.12.1978 in Low Moor, Bradford
Lily married, surname Myers, mum can’t remember his first name, they had a daughter Linda. George Edward married Doris Jackson (born 7 December 1913 in N Bierley, Bradford died 3rd May 1958 in Bradford. They married 23 July 1938. Children:- Daughter June born 3 July 1939 (my mum)
George married again to Connie, no children (she had children from her previous marriage)
My mum is the last Kitchener in that line.
Back to Elizabeth (1848)
In the 1881 Census listed as inmates of the Northleach Union, Eastington are:-
Name Estimated birthyearBirthplace Elizabeth Kitchener1849 Coln St Aldwyn Charles Kitchener1877 Coln St Aldwyn Fredk Kitchener 1880 Northleach Union Thomas Kitchener1874 Northleach Union William Kitchener1872 Cheltenham
In the Wales 1891 Census, under Llantrisant there’s a listing for William Kitchener, age 18, born Cheltenham, relationship = boarder James Marks, age 29, born Wiltshire, rel. = Head Elizabeth Marks, age 34, born Coln St Aldwyn, rel. = Wife Charles Kitchener, age 13 born Coln St Aldwyn, rel.= boarder Thomas Kitchener, age 16, born Northleach, rel. = boarder Frederick Marks, age 10, born Northleach, rel. = son And I’ve just noticed there is also Ada Jordan, age 22, born Coln St Aldwyn, rel,= visitor. She would appear to be the Ada on the 1871 Census with William & Ann. I still haven’t figured out who’s daughter she is though!
I don't think the names, ages etc. could be a coincidence but how Marks came into it or anything else I haven't a clue
