Obviously there are many different "versions" of the name and the story. It's up to the individual which one you wish to adhere to.Now,if the Tuscarora tribe says there WAS a chief Cashie, then of course there was.How many times must one be told that the "government" is well known to carry tales.Just as the history books don't include the real discoverers of this country doesn't mean they didn't exist.I cannot see the great spirit but I know It exists.I was not told of the attrocities put upon my native ancestors, and there were many,by the history books but,I know they existed. They can be found in any native american history book.
Must we belittle one another simply because we disagree?Who's to say that you tell the only right story? You?
