I was so excited to find your messages that I cried.
Wow, we definitely have a connection!
I haven't worked on the KLEE family in a very long time. As a result, it may take a while to gather the information for you.
I had a computer problem a couple of years ago. I lost some of my info, which tends to slow me down some. I need to go through my papers again. I hope you will have patience, as I have a bad cold right now.
Like you, we did not know of a sibling to our Anna, until my cousin found her obituary. It listed your Christian as a surviving brother.
I hope that together, we will find out Anna & Christian's parents.
Off the top of my head, I know there was a census that had Frederick listed. I vaguely remember that he was born about 1879 and perhaps died young.
Also off the top of my head, at least one of the census listed Kurhesse, Germany as Anna's birth country. When I tried to follow up on that, a slightly rude man from Germany chastised me for not knowing that Kurhesse covered a very large area. Perhaps your Christian's birthplace, Hanau or Phorzheim, will narrow it down.
Have you been able to find anything in Germany?
Another question, before we start on this journey together; How do you pronounce Klee? Is it pronounced like clay or like LEE with a K?
Right now, it would be great if you answer me on this forum.
I am in a process of changing my computer, at home, and am not surewhat is going to happen.I may have to use my Yahoo address for a bit.At any rate, I will put my name in the subject line, so you will know who it is.
