My grandfather is Henry (Henny) Charles Kleinecke I never knew him, only parts of his family history. I do know he was killed via burns over 80% of his body and lived for several days before dying, he was 48 years old. Because of the events that I questioned my mother for several yearsand base upon her recollection and my 30 year experience as a police detective I'm of the opinion this was a murder, one of many in the Houston Texas area that went unsolved due to the upcoming entry of the US into World War ll. My grandmother is Edith Sapp (mom). My mother's name was Melva J. Martin, her nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers called her "Aunt Tiny". Her daddy was Henry (Henny) Charles Kleinecke he was born In March of 1894 he died in 1941 not 1942. My mama was 12 years old. Melva J. Martin born 1928 passed way Novemebr 28, 2010. She was the youngest of all (4) children of this marriage. She fondly spoke of him as a matter fact she spoke fondly of both her parents, she loved them both. She bragged her daddy was crazy about all his children and treated and provided for them very well. He was a World War l Veteran, Texas 36th Divison.. I have his original papers of entry and discharge. The first child named on the list was from Edith Sapp's first marriage* My mama kept pretty good records and I asked as many questions in her later years as one could remember. I believe Henny is buried in Glenwood? cementary in a older part of Houston.
