Nicholas Klinehance Indiana
I am looking for information on my GGGGrandfather Nicholas Klinehance. I’ve seen his name spelled several different ways in census records, etc. but I’m pretty sure his last name was Kleinhans before it was anglicanized. Cemetery records show his name as Nicholas Klinehance
b 10 Feb 1800 (in Hesse Darmstadt, Germany) and d 02 Jul 1877 (in Whitley County, Ind.). He emigrated from Germany to Wayne County Indiana sometime around 1847- 1848. He was married to Elizabeth (?) b 10 Mar 1813 (in Germany) d 01 Nov 1875 (in Whitley County, Ind.).
They had at least three children: George (b abt 1840), Christian (b abt 1842) and Elizabeth (b abt 1849).
Any information on Nicholas (such as parents name, marriage date, etc.) or Elizabeth (maiden name, parents names, birth place, etc.) would be greatly appreciated.
