Recently was told that my maternal g/father, Reo Clayton Klingaman had a son. That sparked a vague/foggy childhood memory of a trip to south Texas to meet this child. But no further memories of anything about him.
Family comments I have received indicate this son died at an early age, but not before marrying and himself having a son.Nobody seems to remember the given name of the son, and nobody has any idea of the name of the grandson.
To make matters even worse, if my memory is any way near correct -- my grandfather died (Sept. 1953) within 1-2 years of the birth of this only son.So it is plausible that the mother remarried and the son could have been adopted. The grandson may have no knowledge whatsoever of his heritage.
Reo Klingaman was/had been working with/for his brother-in-law, Richard Smith, in Houston in those last years. However, there was a connection to Palacios, Matagorda Co., Texas, and that is in fact where Reo Klingaman died (possibly during a fishing trip).
There was a Glen Klingaman born in the area during this time frame - however, Glen was a nephew of Reo Klingaman.
Does anybody have any information that could help us find this grandson of Reo Clayton Klingaman?
