Hi Jutta,
I do not know if there is a family connection unless it goes way back in time.My Klingenberg family immigrated to the USA in 1876.They lived in Estonia, Hamburg and West Prussia (now Poland) and later moved to South Russia. Before the Russian Revolution Germans from Russia were given the choice to return to Germany or go to America. Those who didn't leave Russia were killed or exiled to Siberia. I have noticed many Klingenbergs lived in Sweden in the 1600's and 1700's and wonder if our branch came from there or possible Switzerland. In 1995, I traveled to Germany on my only trip to Europe. I went to Hamburg and also to Klingenberg southeast of Frankfurt and saw the ruins of the Klingenberg castle. It was a highlight of my life, though I don't know if any ancestors lived there.
I would love to hear about your family.
