Hello Uwe, I'm sorry that I have been out of touch.I so much have enjoyed corresponding with you.You have so much knowledge about the Klingenbergs and Germany, and you are so generous. I really appreciated the graphics you sent on the Klingenberg-densities.As you see below, I have changed my e-mail service.Hotmail deleted a lot of my mail because you cannot store very much. My new address is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Are you familiar with Altoona?I believe it is near Hamburg.I had a visit to Germany in 1995, but I did not get to Altoona. This town was an area of protection for a time (1700's?) for converts to the Mennonite faith. My ancestors became Mennonites sometime in this era.
Do you know why the Klingenberg Family had to leave the town of Klingenberg (near Miltenberg, SE from Frankfurt)?I am wondering if it was religious persecution? There is a ruin of the Klingenberg Castle there. Some signs say Clingenberg.A relative of mine visited there and asked a Catholic priest at the cemetary why the Klingenberg family moved from there to Hamberg. He replied that is sometimes better to leave the past alone.I really am interested in history and especially family history. It doesn't matter if it was good, bad, or ugly.It is all interesting.
You wrote about the Klingenberg Castle near Linz. Where is Linz? You may have already told me, but the Hotmail Server deleted some of my mail.
Thank you once again Uwe. (I am not familiar with your name. Are you male or female.Just curious.)
