I have scrolled thru your KLINKHAMMER tree with interest, as my family just returned from a trip to Blankenheim in the Eifel and found our family records.
My great-grandmother Magdalena (Anna and Helena also her names) PAULY had a mother named Barbara KLINKHAMMER and father Johann PAULY / PAULI that were living in Ripsdorf (maybe born there) when they died, sometime prior to 1882. This is according to the marriage record of their daughter Magdelena, who had lived in Ripsdorf prior to moving to Blankenheim as a "servant girl" and her marriage.
Have you found a KLINKHAMMER / PAULY marriage in your line?
Below is a brief bit about my family . . .
I am researching WILLMS/ WILMS; HIMMELS; RIQUIR/RIQUIER; KLINKHAMMER; PAULY surnames in the towns of Blankenheim and Ripsdorf, and possibly other nearby villages . . . for:
**WILMS / WILLMS, HEINRICH, b Blankenheim, about 1790-1795 married 1897 in Blankenheim to: HIMMELS, CATHERINA, b abt 1790-1795
**WILLMS, HEINRICH , b 1820, Blankenheim to above couple married 1857 in Blankenheim to: RIQUIR / RIQUIER, GERTRUD, b ?, where ?
WILLMS, JOHANN JOSEPH, b in Blankenheim, Feb. 26, 1858 to above couple . . . married Jan. 1882 in Blankenheim to PAULY, ANNA ?HELENA MAGDALENA, b Nov. 7, 1856, in ? Ripsdorf
Parents of Magdelena PAULY:
KLINKHAMMER, BARBARA, and PAULY, JOHANN, both died before 1882 in Ripsdorf (source: Magd's& Johann's civil marr. record).
The daughter (Magdalena) of Barbara KLINKHAMMER apparently took a job as as "servant girl" in Blankenheim sometime after her parents died, according to Magdalena's marriage record.
Johann Joseph WILLMS and Magdalena (Anna Helena) PAULY immigrated in 1883 to Wisconsin, USA with infant son WILLMS, HEINRICH JOSEPH, b Jan. 1883, Blankenheim. Perhaps other family went with them or had preceded them to America.
