Hi Dennis, did you go to Whitewater back in 1968? If you did, I talked to you several times. I used to go to the Fenske/Knaack family reunions in Princeton around 1953-1960 time frame. My Great Grandmother was Emilie (Amelia) Ponto who married Edward Fenske in April 6, 1874. They had 6 children, one of them being my Grandmother Mary Theresa Fenske who married Paul Kelm. After Edward died, Amelia married Gottlieb Knaack, on January 8, 1890, they had three children: Albert, William and Lydia. I can remember going to Aunt Liddy's house, it was kiddy corner to St John's church it was next to a scool. She married Ernest PRIEBE and they had one daughter Neoma. I remember they ran the backery in Princeton.I remember she was a funny fat lady and she loved to eat and always had sweets for us kids. I have no information on William and don't know if he ever got married. Albert Knaack married Minna BUCHHOLZ and they had three children: Wilbert, Karl and Milderd. I don't have any more information about them.
Amelia Knaach is buried in St John's cemetery in the Knaack family plot. I have more iformation about her and the Fenske and Ponto families if you want it.
The only information about Gottlieb Knaack is that he died in 1940.I hope you can fill me in on more information about him and his parents and brothers and children etc. As I would like to extend the information in my family tree maker software.
I did get some information last summer going through old church records at St John's in Princeton.

I was also lucky to get a message from a second cousin Sonya Fenske last month from the Fenske Genealogy Forum. She also went to the family reunions in Princeton. Hergrandfather was Gustav Fenske my Grandmother's brother. So she was a big help in filling in much information. She will be excited to see your reply message. I will tell her about this forum. You can also email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
