Seems George P Knab moved to KS in a covered wagon from Chillicothe, OH in 1884.He was accompanied by his wife, Amelia Dryer, his daughter, Nora Alice, and a nephew, William Kreisel. Amelia Dryer's family sailed to America from Germany, the trip taking 90 days (she said the ship would sail forward 2 days, then drift backwards for a day, so it took a long time!).Though Chillicothe and Massillon are a bit apart, the families probably had some connection or at least knowledge of each other.George P was a farmer. It would be interesting to see if the railroad went between the two towns. The only thing I know about George P's parents (Christopher Knab and Minnie Kuntz) is that they are from Germany.Since George P was born in OH in 1851, his parents had to immigrate some time before then.
