The General was the brother of my direct ancestor, so I don't know a whole lot about that line. But a lot of my family lived in the St. Louis area, too.
A long time ago, someone sent me a short file containing the following:Catherine Elizabeth Knipe, b 1858, Pine Grove, Schuylkill County, PA; d 1931, Maplewood, St. Louis County, MO; m Henry F. Warnake, b 1858, Wheeling, WV, d 1931, St Louis County, MO.She was a Methodist.Don't know if this is the person you are looking for as I don't know what relation, if any, she was to the General. This info, according to my records, came from a work History of the Johannes Neipp (Nipe, Knipe) Family of Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, from which notes were copied by James L. Knipe.
Oh, I just noticed this note in my source file: ""Catherine Elizabeth Knipe .... Married at St. Louis, Mo., Henry Frederick Warnake of Wheeling, W. Va., Feb 20, 1889, having moved to Missouri with his parents about 1878."These dates 1858- 1931 were originally assigned to Catherine; apparently either James L. Knipe (who originally copied the notes from The History of the Early Knipe Families of Pennsylvania) or Frank H. Merchent (who sent copies of the notes to Paul Collins) thought the dates might belong to Henry instead.
