Yes, Alfred and Caroline did have a son Alfred who married Elizabeth Hendra, and yes Caroline and Elizabeth are related. The Curtis/Harris/Hendra/Knowelden family intermarried several times. Alfred Knowelden was born 26 June 1846 Southwark and married Caroline Hendra 27 October 1867 St.John the Evangelist, Limehouse. She was born 1848 Stepney, parents Christopher Thomas Hendra born 1804 and Elizabeth King Curtis born 1807. They married 19 March 1832 Phillack, Cornwall. Her parents were William Curtis and Mary King. Alfred and Caroline's 5th child was Alfred, born 30 November 1875 Bromley by Bow, married Elizabeth Hendra 17 February 1901 Bromley St.Leonard. She was born abt. 1880, parents Thomas Hendra and Elizabeth Freshwater/Haddrell. Thomas Hendra was born about 1856, parents Jonathan Hendra and Elizabeth Curtis Harris. Jonathan was Caroline's brother. Elizabeth Harris's parents were Sally Curtis and Thomas Harris, Sallys parents were William Curtis and Mary King.Confused? I'm not surprised.
