Thanks for finding that death notice.I have now located it online.(It was helpful having the date of the newspaper).
In the Australia Genealogy Forum, message 75065 of 20.9.2010, Jean Piper advised me that there was a pedigree resource file of the family on www.familysearch.org/ which listed the mother's name as Eliza Ann JACKSON.It seeems that this file might not be accurate.I will send a copy of the death notice to Jean.
The reference to Eliza Ann's husband as John Knox sen. would support him having a son also named John.
Rev. Robert Park was ordained as minister of First Ballymoney Presbyterian Church on 18 March 1817.My 3rd great grandfather Rev. Robert Loughhead was ordained as minister of Trinity Church (Burgher) in Ballymoney on 21 March 1815 and he remained there as minister until 1835.It seems that the two men, and their families, would almost certainly have known each-other.
Rev Robert Loughhead's son James Staurt Loughhead married Eliza Knox (c1827-2.7.1904) in Ballymoney on 3.11.1847.Eliza's father was John Knox, a farmer of Greenville in the parish of Ballymoney.
I wonder if there could be a connection between the families of Eliza Ann's husband John Knox (c1798-27.12.1868) and Eliza Loughhead nee Knox's father John Knox, but it is dangerous to make assumptions here.I have a copy of 'A Short History of the Presbyterian Churches of Ballymoney County Antrim' by Revs. A H Dill, James B Armour, D D Boyle & John Ramsay which indicates that there were many men named Knox associated with those churches.
