Hi, again, Lori....
I posted an email on Ancestry.com, as well. This is very nice of you to research your Husband's ancestry for your children...Anyway, our branch of the Kobzina's came from Chicago as well. The story goes that Vaslav, suposedly, my Great-Grandfather (possibly great-great), came over on the boat from Moravia. He had a son, Arnold Hugo(around 1910).Anyway, if you run into anyone in Chicago that was there around 1910, they might remember Kobzina Furniture -- suposedly it was the biggest furniture store in Chicago.I beleive 2 of the son's were in the family business (one being Rudolph, so my Dad says -- so, Rudolph would be my Great-Uncle). I do not beleive my grandfather was in the family business of furniture. He died before I was born, so my Dad tells me what he remembers...Well, the best email address for me is [email protected] -- I look forward to chating with you.
