Former Gt. West. Agent 34 Years Ago Stops Off to Visit St. Charles Mr. and Mrs. Charles Koehne Stopped off to call onSt. Charles friends a few days ago on their way from Iowa to Chicago.
Mr. Koehne will be remembered by old timers as station operator and clerk of the Great Western Railroad in St. Charles. He was transferred in 1902 to South Freeport and from there to Stockton, going from there to Sycamore, then sent to Ft. Dodge, Ia., and on up to his present work as Great Western traffic agent at Milwaukee, Wis.
Mr. Koehne came to St. Charles as a young man and boarded at Malroy's a popular boarding house then as it was later.
