I am seeking information on Stefan Kollar, Susanna Kollar, and Stefan Kollar...
My great grandmother, Susanna Kollar, emigrated from Slovakia to the U.S. through Ellis Island, and I have reviewed a copy of the ship's manifest, as follows:
First Name: Susanna Last Name: Kollar Ethnicity: Hungary; Slovak Last Place of Residence: Date of Arrival: Jan 22, 1904 Age at Arrival:18Gender:FMarital Status:S Ship of Travel: Neckar Port of Departure: Bremen Manifest Line Number: 0012
She traveled with her brother, Stefan Kollar:
First Name: Stefan Last Name: Kollar Ethnicity: Hungary; Slovak Last Place of Residence: Becsko Date of Arrival: Jan 22, 1904 Age at Arrival:33Gender:MMarital Status:S Ship of Travel: Neckar Port of Departure: Bremen Manifest Line Number: 0011
On the manifest is a section to indicate "Whether going to join a relative or friend...", which reads:
cousin: Kollar, Stefan 1833 Poplar St. Philadephia, PA
I would appreciate any related information - Susanna married Joseph Ujcek and together they had five daughters, all but one was born in San Francisco. My grandmother, Mary Ujcek, was born in Philadelphia in 1907 - the family had left SF post earthquake, and when things settled they returned to California.
