I have recieved a little more information about our family. This came from Dorathy Woods, daughter of Goerge Koogler, son of David Koogler.
This information was found in the History of Greene Co. Ohio. By George Robison 1902. The S.J.Clarke Publishing Co.
Green county Ohio 1810 tax list. Adam Koogler 160 A. part NW & SW quarter section 25 T3 R 8
List of early settlers:
Adam Koogler, Beaver Creek 1803, soldier of 1812. Buried in Union Graveyard.
Jacob Koogler Sr. Bath 1803, born 1785, died July 22,1837 age 48, buried Rockafield Graveyard, soldier of 1812.
Jacab Koogler, Beaver Creek 1803, from Pa. 1800 died 1870, 86 years old, buried in Union Graveyard, soldier of 1812.
Samuel Koogler Sr. died 1840 ? soldier of 1812.Buried Union Graveyard. (now Byron Church Cemetery) Adam Koogler was probably buried there also. There are no legible markers for anyone who died that early. Most markersof that time were made of sandstone & soon became illegible.
Jacob Koogler died in 1833 not 1837. All that has been found of Rockafield are about 10 markers scattered through out a wooded area that is now a part of Wright State University.
It is believed the Samuel buried in Byron Cemetery is the son of Jacob & Kindla ( Harner) Koogler.
Robison says that Adam, Jacob, & Samuel Koogler all served under Capt. J. Shinglededeecker. ( Not sure which Jacob it was.)
Beaver Creek Township was organized May 10, 1803. Tax payers over 21 were John Harner, Jacob Harner, George Harner, Adam Koogler & Jacob Koogler.
Bath Township was orgaanized March 3, 1807 ( part taken from Beaver Creak). Tax payers were George Harner, Charles Heffley, Adam Koogler.

Notice the spellings of Koogler. Some of my folks that came from Germany spelled it Kuugler. After coming to America some spelled it Coogler & some Koogler. Some of my folks came from Montgomery Co.Ohio & were kin to the Bates, Pattons, Harners & Sliders.
