This may be of help to you. Lewis Coon May have been your George's father. This property is in an area that has at times been Fairfield and at other times Richland County. It was also part of Camden District in the 18th Century. Today it is about 12 miles north of Columbia, SC.

Is this indentured May 25 day of March in the year of our Lord 1791 between James Craig and Jane his wife of Fairfield County and the state of South Carolina planter and seamstress of the first part and Lewis Coon of Richland County and state aforesaid planter of the other part witnesseth that the said James Craig and Jane his wife for and in consideration of the sum of 10 shillings to them in hand paid by the said of the other part witnesseth that said James Craig and Jane his wife for and in consideration of the sum of 10 shillings to them and hand paid by the said Lewis Coon the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the said Lewis Coon all that plantation or tract of land containing 200 acres being part of a certain tract of land containing 2290 acres originally granted to the same James Craig situate lying and being in Camden district butting and bounding on land surveyed for Gabriel Rawls and Job Bass, Doctor Richman, Lewis Coon, Dempsey Hunter, Jasper Faust, William Faust and Philip Pearson lands. The said 200 acres hath such forms and shapes and marks as are represented by a plat thereof annexed to the release bearing date the day after the date of this instrument of writing certified for the 10th day of July in the year of our Lord 1790. And the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents and profits of the said premises above-mentioned with their premises and every of their appurtenances to have and to hold the said plantation or tract of land the premises above-mentioned and every part and parcel thereof with their every of their up appurtenances unto the said Lewis Coon his executors administrators and assigns from the day of the date here of for and during an unto the full end and term of one whole year from thence next ensuing fully to be completed and ended yielding and paying therefore at the expiration of the said year one peppercorn of the same be lawfully demanded to the intent and purpose that by virtue of these presents and of the statutes for transferring uses into possession he the said Lewis Coon may be in actual possession of all and singular the said premises above-mentioned with the appurtenances and hereby being able to accept and take a grant and release of the reversion and inheritance thereof to him and his heirs to the only proper use and behalf of him the said Lewis Coon his heirs and assigns for ever.
