Jesse A. Korab died Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, at Durham Regional Hospital, Durham, N.C. He was 75.
Born in Elizabeth, he lived in East Brunswick for many years before moving to New Bern, N.C., in 1991.
Prior to retiring in 1991, he was an industrial engineer for Carborundum Company, Keasbey, where he worked for over 30 years. He attended Newark College of Engineering and received his B.S. degree in engineering from Thomas Edison State College, Trenton. After retiring from Carborundum Company, he was an investigator for the Kellum Law Firm, New Bern, N.C., for 12 years.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. A former communicant of St. Bartholomew's Church, East Brunswick, he was also a member of Knights of Columbus Council 3303, New Bern, N.C., and its 4th Degree Assembly.
Mr. Korab was predeceased by his brother, Fred, who died in 2007, and his father, Andrew Korab.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Jean Giovannetti Korab; two daughters, Lisa Korab, and Leslie McNally and her husband, Patrick; a son, Marc J. Korab and his wife, Kelly; his mother, Mary Turon Korab; a sister, Jane Galuppo and her husband, Michael; and 12 grandchildren, Caitlin, Christopher, Schuyler, Bryn, Keenan, Graham and Reid Korab, Kendall, Connor and Carson McNally, and Joseph and Mary Korab.
Funeral services will be held at 8:45 a.m. Thursday at Brunswick Memorial Home, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bartholomew's R.C. Church, East Brunswick. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
