Julia Kovach died Friday, Jan. 18, 2008, at home in North Brunswick. She was 99.
Born in Holden, W.Va., she moved to New Jersey in 1944.
She earned her bachelor's degree in elementary education from Marshall University in Huntington, W.Va. She worked at Pine Grove School in Franklin Township and retired from teaching in 1975. She was a member of Middlesex and Somerset County Retired Teachers Association.
She was a member of Bayard Street Presbyterian Church, New Brunswick.
Miss Kovach was predeceased by her parents, Kalman and Isabella Kovach; two brothers, Kalman and George Kovach, and a sister, Mary K. Geuge.
Surviving are a sister, Elizabeth Kovach of Los Angeles; two cousins, Pauline Carina of Milltown and Jim Rispoli of North Brunswick, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Burial will follow at Van Liew Cemetery in North Brunswick. Friends and relatives may call from 10 a.m. until time of services Monday, at the funeral home.
