While I have done no independent research on the surnames you list, I have two family tree books compiled by Ruth Glee McCormick, etal, relative to both the Keller and Weir families of Montgomery County, Indiana.Within the Weir Family Tree, is some information pertaining to the surname, Krout.
My connection to these lines, according to these books, are:my maternal grandmother>Carrie Ruth Keller> Robert Newton Keller>Alexander Keller>Daniel Keller m/Nancy Krout. Daniel's father>Daniel Keller, Sr.>John Keller>George Keller m/Barbara Ann Hottel.Nancy Krout's father is said to be John Krout m/Mary McCallister/McCollister>Michael Krout m/Katherine.
I have no direct relationship to the Weir line, however, it is my understanding that there was considerable intermarriage between
the Keller/Krout & Weir lines in Montgomery County, IN.
These family groups settled in an area SW of Crawfordsville, IN, known as Balhench.I have visited a country cemetery, there, where many persons with the surnames I have included are buried.
A Krout family tradition, included in the Weir Family Tree is that the Krout Family was from Saxony, Germany.Lived in the vicinity of the Battle of Cowpens in SC.Apparently, at the time that this book was compiled, a family bible existed in which, inside the back cover, the name "Krodtwell" was written.
Hope this is useful.
