Happy Tuesday, Mary. I have talked with my 86 year old uncle and a 92 year-old daughter of Lou Krumholtz Devall, Eula. Both of them challenge my mother's memory. My great Grandmother was Hester Ann Krumholtz (Crumholt).Francis is my Great grandfather.
After Grandpa Frank died, Grandma Hester built a shotgun house and lived next door to my grandmother, Lovie K. Fuentes, who was a widow with 6 children. As she got up in years she moved in with "Mama" as we called Lovie. (Mama re-married - an Alf Collins).
Both are buried in the Devall Cemetery in Baker,(as are my grandparents, Lovie and John Oscar Fuentes.
I don't have a lot of documentaion in my records, but here's how that family went... Frank (Francis) and Hester had: 1. Ambrose who married Ada Ashford: Hettie, Lubie, Effie and Willie. 2. Louis, married Janie Sibley: Talmage, Francis, Kary, Wilma 3.Henry married Julia Yoes: James, LillieMae. 4 Gillie Clifton married Myrtie Devall (Teet): Clifton 5 Laura married Dolly Devall:Frank, Ollie, Alfred, Mamie, John, Adrien, Robert. 6 Ollie married Henry Sides: Ethel, Etta, Carol and Claude. 7.Lou married Clarence "Bum" Devall: Vernon, Elma, Eula, Leo, Milddred, J.C., Winnie Bess, Carl, Edwin Lyle, Kathryn. 8. Lovie married John Oscar Fuentes:Myrtle Louise (my mother), Hettie Carmen, Edna Roberta, Frank Willard, Inez Evelyn, Johnnie Clarence.
My mother is still living (92), Edna Roberta is 89 and Frank is 86.They're going strong. Lou's children, Eula, Winnie, J. C., Carl and Kathryn (Kathryn is about my age) are still going strong too.
I remember Uncle Ambrose and Aunt Ada quite well.I was especially fond of Uncle Gillie and Aunt Teet and Aunt Lou and Uncle Bum.I don't remember much about the others, though I do remember hearing their names often.
Are you researching any of those?
I would be happy to pay for copies of any documentation you have of birth/death records for Francis, Hester, Louis or Sarah.
