I will try to help as much as I can. I can link my Mary (or Marie) Kubitzki (or Kubitski) to Nanticoke, PA in 1893. That is the town she listed as her address when she was married in 1893 to Gustave KRAUSER.
I can tell you that Mary was born in Germany in 1876 and traveled to the US at age 7. I do have siblings, although one remains an unknown name. The others were Edith and Minnie. Edith married Matthew Borman. Minnie married Herman Kersteen. Her name is spelled KABITZ on her marriage cert. or Social security card appl. Unknown married LAWRENCE.
I have found Marie on a ship index for the SS California. She was traveling with a 7 mos old named Ida, father Michel and mother Bilhelme. The ship arrived New York, 1884. We are trying to see if this is the right family.
There is another as well on later ship. But, that info. escapes me at this moment.
I have also been told that Mary had a stepmother. This from a daughter-in-law who is 85 now and not much help.
Marie died in Syracuse NY in 1963. The parents line was filled in with Unknown.
She and quite a few of her children are buried in Fern Knoll Burial Park, Dallas, PA
