I have now found Henry and William Kuhlmann (orphans) in the 1880 St. Louis ,page 263D, household of their aunt and uncle, Adolf and Elizabeth Frerck. They were listed with the surname, COLEMAN, and designed both to be nephews.
Adolf and Elizabeth were both born in Germany and had their first kids there.Elizabeth was apparently born a Kuhlmann and therefore probably the sister of Heinrich Christoph/Christopher Heinrich Kuhlmann, the father of Henry and William mentioned above.
According to church records, Mary (Maria)Frerck m August Oberfeld May 12, 1878 in St. Louis. She appears in the 1880 census as Mary Overfelt with husband August and child in the household immediately following her parents, the August Fishers.Amelia Kuhlman, the 12 year old sister of the two orphaned brothers mentioned above.
The Earl Fischer database of St. Louis says that Amelia married a PONICK and Heinrich married a BARTZ.I've now found Heinrich and Bertha in a census after 1900, but still have to find them and their brother, William in later time frames as well as still seeking descendants of the above people.
Any help would always be appreciated.
Any descendants out there?
