Hi Julie, I tried the email on genforum, but it failed. I guess this is the best way to respond. To reduce the chance of spam, the first part of the email to reach me at istlbdvmThe second half is at end of message. I've traced my personal ancestry back to Jacques LABELLE and a close friend thought she was also his descendant, but it looks like she goes back to Lebel, as you have indicated. Her father Martin Labelle of Illinois, traced his tree back to Bernard (of Trenton ONTage about 71 in 1871). I will contact him to see if he can fill in that part of the tree for you. Yes, we could use Josephte's line too.
cc Marty If you would be willing to share the name and dates and location information of your paternal parents/grandparents, etc up to Bernard, to Julie Michaud, I'm sure she would appreciate it. She may be able to connect your tree up to the early Quebec pioneers, which is what we've been struggling to do for years now. You can send it to me and I'll forward it to her if you wish. @illinoisalumni.org
