None of the grands are living, and haven't been for some time.I am doing the research for my benefit as much as for my parents, so unfortunately they don't have any further info either.Charles's obit and other papers have thus far given us no further information going laterally (siblings) or backwards (parents, uncles).
So we don't have any information on grand relatives, just Charles LaBarge (b. 1857 died 6/1921).The first documentary evidence we have of him is 1910.He was supposedly born in New York, but we have no proof. He lived in Moriah/Port Henry/Essex NY.There is Charles LaBarge in Port Henry in 1880 federal census that fits the age, but he is only a boarder and we can't confirm that it is our Charles LaBarge.
The wife that he married at 43 is Lillian Guyette. She may have also gone by Pond. Her previous marriage was to a Louis LaRose, she might have even gone by that surname. They married about 1900.They had six children together and I have dates etc for those children. They are all LaBarge's.After Charles's death in 1921, Lillian (by then LaBarge) moved to Albany, NY and remained there until her death in 1959.'
Since he was 43, he may have had a prior wife, we don't know.
Hopefully someone has some information to help us continue our searches.
