Hi Dee: François-Régis Lacombe was born on his father's farm in Edmundston NB (then part of St-Basile) April 15th 1840 and was baptised in St-Basile NB on April 16th. After his father's second marriage with Sophie Lévesque in 1859, he and his brother Anthime went to live with their brother, Gilbert Lacombe, my gggrandfather. Régis married "Edith Cergerie" in Frenchville ME on June 18th 1866. Finally, Régis died October 13th 1911 in Clair NB and was buried there on October 16th. His wife, "Délima St-Jorres" died April 20th 1884 in Baker Brook NB (then part of St-Hilaire) and was buried April 23rd at St-Hilaire NB. She died from complications in childbirth. Other variations in the spelling of her name: Délima Sergerie, Délima St-Jarres, Délima St-Jor. Children baptised in St-Hilaire were: Horace, b. 18-3-1870/c. 20-3; Adolphe, b. 20-11-1872/c. 21-11; Vital, b. 18-7-1875/c. 19-7; Pierre, b. 19-5-1877/c. 20-5; Marie-Félonise (Denise), b. 11-11-1879/c. 15-11; Joseph-Guillaume (William), b. 15-9-1881/c. 25-9; Joseph, b. 16-4-1884/c. 24-4. Children for whom I have yet not found baptism records: the first Joseph, drowned 23-7-1881/i. 27-7 at St-Hilaire; Félix, aged 12 on 13-7-1887; Célina. Régis Lacombe married again on 14-4-1888 with Anathalie Albert at St-François NB. Their son Gilbert was born March 3rd at Baker Brook NB and was baptised at St-Hilaire NB on March 30th. They then moved from Baker Brook to Clair NB which was then in the parish of St-François. As for William Lacombe, he married Georgette Cormier in Godbout QC on 14-10-1937. Horace Lacombe married Caroline Thibodeau in Clair NB on 9-2-1896 and among their children was Alcide Lacombe, b. 29-11-1904/c. 30-11 at Clair.
