This is what I have on Louis:

Louis Laferriere (B: 24 Apr 1836 P: St Michael, Quebec
D: 25 Apr 1929) married Louise Jasmir (B:
P: Henderson, MN)

ANCI: Civil War veteran - Army. Became a farmer when he finished his military commitment. His and Louise's house was virtually destroyed by a tornado in the late 1800's
Louis was the last Civil War veteran in his area. He enlisted with Company H7 of the Minnesota Regiment of the Union Forces and was engaged in the war on Aug 14 1862. He served 3 years and received his honorable discharge on August 16 1865. He married Ms Jasmir and moved to Marshall county in April of 1882. He farmed until 1917, when they moved to Argyle
