MISS MARY ETTA LAHEY August 21, 1908
At the family home, in the east part of town, this (Friday) morning, at about 6:30 o'clock, occurred the death of Miss Mary Etta Lahey, after an extended illness with tuberculosis. Deceased was born May 29, 1885, on the Lahey farm in Charlotte township, being the third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Lahey, the father having died in June, 1907. She resided with her parents on the farm until about six years ago, when she moved to this city with them, and since resided here. She attended the Chatsworth public schools and graduated from the Chatsworth high school. Her health had been failing rapidly since March and , although her friends realized that recovery was almost impossible, the news of her death cast a feeling of deep sadness over all who knew her. She was a young lady held in highest esteem by a large circle of friends, and her removal from earth while in the blossom of womanhood is the cause of universal regret. She is survived by her mother, three sisters --- Mrs. Thos. Hanley, of Wing; Misses Margaret and Emma, of this city --- and one brother, Thomas who resides in Charlotte township. The funeral services will be held at SS. Peter and Paul's church on Sunday at 2 p.m.
