Samuel Hennis (1824) and Matilda Swallow (1838) had 12 children:
Morland St. Clair (4/13/1885)
Elisabeth (1862)
Jane (1864)
Ross Etta (1864)
Susan (Susie) 1874
Emma (Aimy) 1867
Parks (1871)
Max (1880-1884)
Franklin (Frank) (1869)
George (2/1855)
John (1864)
Rebecca (1858)
I don't think Elisabeth is the Liza you are looking for.Elizabeth married Aaron Mercer and had 6 children.
There is reason for confusion, though. I just recieved a copy of portions of "The Lillie Porter Collection of Harrison County, Ohio, Volume one.It lists an Eliza Hennie, who married James M. Laizure. It also lists a Rebecca Hennie, who married Eugene Smith.Rebecca Hennis married George Smith. It also lists a Mrs. Jennie Hennis, widow of Jacob Hennie (confused enough yet?) who died and the funeral was held on 1/15/1907.She was age 87.It says she left sons Samuel and Jacob and 2 married daughters.Samuel had a brother Jacob, but my records show he was born in 1824, which would make him 4-5 years younger than Jennie.
I have a lot of information on the twelve children of Samuel and Matilda, and would be interested in sharing anything with fellow searchers.
I was really excited when I thought Jacob and Jennie were the parents of Samuel, but now am thoroughly confused.
Also, there is a possibility that Mary Hart is the mother of Matilda Swallow.Right age and both were from England. They both lived in the same area.
