The wife of François GUILLEMOT dit LaLande was Madeleine, I repeat, Madeleine DUPONT. They were married on Oct 34, 1684 in Quebec City, and both were immigrants from France. Nowhere in any acts of any civil registry in New France does she show up as « Mathurine ». In fact no « Mathurine DUPONT » appears in any act in New France/Quebec up to 1799.
The couple François GUILLEMOT dit LaLandeand Madeleine DUPONT did have a daugther born on n Sept 8, 1696 [the date you mention as that of the birth of « Mathurine »]in Montreal, but according to the church certicicate she was baptized as « Marie-Catherine », and NOT « Marie-Mathurine ». That same Marie-Catherine GUILLEMOT married Gabriel PAILLÉ on Apr 15, 1717 in Montreal. That couple had at least 14 children, the last of which was born in 1738. She died on Aug 6, 1739 in Montreal , and was survived by PAILLE.
None of the other daughers ofFrançois GUILLEMOT dit LaLandeand Madeleine DUPONT could possibly qualify as a wife of AUFRERE. - Marie-Chrétienne, born Sept 18, 1695 in Montreal, married as « Catherine Chrétienne » on Nov 24, 1715 in Montreal, to Jean JACQUET/JACQUES/JACQUEZE dit Leblond, an immigrant from Belgium. That couple had three chidren between 1720 and 1724, all born in Trois-Rivières. JACQUES died onDec 26, 1723 in Sorel, and Catherine on Nov 23, 1834. - Madeleine-Louise, born June 11, 1692 in Mtl, was married to Pierre MERCEREAU on Aug 16, 1708. They had at least 12 children between 1709 and 1730. Madeleine-Louise died in 1736 in Montreal (Mercereau died in June 1739 in Montreal). - Geneviève-Angélique, born Feb 11, 1700 in Montreal, was married to Jean-Baptiste AMIOT on Mar 29, 1717 in Montreal. They had at leat 8 chuidren, up to 1739. Geneviève died on Aug 20, 1762 in Boucherville, still married to AMIOT.
I am quite puzzled. From the above, and assuming it is all correct,it very much looks like you may have to look for another « candidate » to be the wife of Antoine François AUFRERE.
As for the AUFREREs, again there is no trace of that patronym in any civoil registry of New France. From what you wrote,. I would say it is likely he went directly fron France to Louisiana or …..
Finally, I did find a Mathurin (male) GUILLEMOT, son of Olivier GUILLEMOT dit LeBreton and Jeanne CAUCHON, born in 1690 in Quebec, and married to Marie-Angélique MARET in 1709. I find no « Mathurine » amongst their known children. That Mathirin had 9 bros. and sis. all born in Quebec between 1681 and 1701. None of his 4 sisters lived to be an adult.
