Hello there.I have been researching my
husband's ancestors for about 2 years now.I was lucky enough to come
accross on the Genealogy.com message forum a message that you had posted as
follows:
VIRGINIA,
THERE IS A LAND SURVEY FOR A WILLIAM LAMB IN
AUGUSTA CO.,VA.1750 SUPPOSE TO BE FULL BLOODED INDAIN. I DECEND FROM NANCY
OZIE
(OSBY) LAMB D/O WILLIAM MARRIED ZACHIRAH
McDANIEL 1817 ROCKINGHAM CO.,VA. I THINK SHE
HAD A BRO. PHILLIP AND MAYBE MATTHEW. SOME
OF HER GRANDCHILDREN WERE VERY DARK SKIN.I
DECEND FROM HER SON WILLIAM S. McDANIEL WHO
MARR: CHRISTINA MORRIS 1844.
I WONDER IF THIS WILLIAM LAMME(LAMB) BURIED
AT AUGUSTA WOULD BE THE ONE WHO RECEIVED THE LAND SURVERY, I WOULD THINK BY
THE AGE THIS
WOULD BE A GRANDFATHER TO MY NANCY.
Could you PLEASE tell me where you found the survey on William Lamb that
stated he is Indian? My husbands ggggGrandmother was Nancy (Osby) McDaniel.
If you have any information on William, Nancy, or Zachariah, would you be so
kind as to send it to me?If at all possible could you point me in the
direction to verify William's Indian heritage.
Thank you very much,
