Hi Betty. I just found the information you wanted on the Lamon who married Breeden. Here is what I have: Martin M.Lamon married Anna Breeden on May 20,1851 and then married Mary J. Breeden on Feb.13,1861 both marriages in Harrison Co. Indiana. In 1860 census, you will find a Martin Lamon living in Harrison Co. As you will see there is no wife. Only 3 children ,ages 8,4,and 2.I suspect that when his wife died he married a relative of Anna's. Hence Mary J.Breeden that he married in 1861. Now the reason I have this information is that I am descended from Martin's oldest brother Wm. Lewis Lamon. There were 8 children in all. My Wm. Lewis was firstborn and Martin was 7th born.I have quite a bit of info on the other children, but not anything forward except for Wm Lewis's line. A cousin of mine who lives in Indiana says that Martin is buried at Heights Chapel Cemetary in Gibson Co. (Gibson Co. is where my own father was born.) I would guess that Martin's first wife was buried in Harrison Co. Sometime after 1860 my Wm. Lewis moved his family on to Gibson Co. and Martin must have moved there also. Now the parents of Wm. Lewis and Martin Lamon are as follows.Manuel (possibly Emanuel) and Mary M(possibly Madoline) French Lamon. They were married in Tn . Their oldest child(Wm.L.) was b. Nov.3 1811, in KNox Co. Tn. I have a copy of the land grant that caused Manuel and Mary to move to Indiana. Also I have some info on Catherine Lamon Cole(who was a sister of Manuel Lamon). It was sent to me by a Cole researcher. It lists a lot of Breeden names. In the research is says that John and Catherine Lamon Cole's daughter Elizabeth married Bryant Breeden on Dec. 8,1825 in Crawford Co. Indiana..Also in Deed Book 6,pages 70& 71 there is John Coles will which transfers his property to a Briant and Eliz,(Cole) Breeden and a Amos Breeden and a James Breeden . I think that you will find a lot on the Breedens in Harrison and Crawford Counties in Indiana. I will look for more info if you want. Happy Hunting!! Joyce Lamon Walden p.s. I live in Paducah, Ky.
