Lamothe/Lamotte, Marie Anne- Laprairie, Quebec

I have just been told that my missing link in my grandparent chain is a Marie Anne Lamothe/Lamotte who married a Joseph Cote July 11, 1825 in Laprairie.After just briefly looking through the messages in the Lamothe Family Forum, I am more than ever unsure how to verify, persue, validate, etc. this information.If anyone in the Lamothe Forum can help it would be greatly appreciated.My father was a COTA/COTE and I have been trying to connect a wealth of information on that family but this is the key link.Thanks for any help you can give.
