My name is Marcia Thelen (formerly Langhorne)and I have traced my family tree back to Northumberland and Durham England.I don't know how that relates to your family tree in Westmoreland.I am from Michigan, USA.My great grandfather (Bertram Langhorne) was born in Haydon, Northumberland and then came to Canada (Ontario) and finally to Michigan.
Here is what I have for my family tree.I don't know if we are related, but it is possible.
George Langhorne - married to Barbara Featherston on Apr 7, 1802
Child - George Langhorn - christened Dec 10, 1804 in Stanhope, Durham, England - married to Ann Eshton (born 1821)
Children - William (b 1846) married to Emma Mary (b 1849) married to someone with the last name Catcheside George (b 1852) John Featherstone (b 1847) - married to Sarah Short (my greatgreat grandfather)
Children of John Featherstone Langhorn and Sarah Short Henery (b 1880) Bertram (b apr 20, 1877 - my great grandfather) William CF (b 1872) John G (b 1873) Frederick (b 1875) Alfred (b 1876)
When my great grandfather Bertram came to Canada/USA his last name changed to Langhorne - do you know the reason some of the Langhornes have an e at the end and some do not?I have also found this in the Featherstone name.
