Dear Barbara Williams, Thank you for your interesting message. I was delighted to hear the Journals of Anne Langton are to be re-published. May I order a copy please? The reason I am seeking anyone connected with Hugh Langton is as follows- I have edited the diaries of Miss Olive Harcourt and carried out research on her family and friends. In 1912-13, Olive, a professional singer, visited North America where she gave a series of concerts and was reported to be the first Lutinist to visit Canada. It was in Toronto where she met the Street family and Hugh Langton. In 1914, Edmund Street, his mother and sister came to England and met up with the Harcourt sisters in London. At the outbreak of war, Edmund re-joined the army and in October 1916 was badly wounded and died the same day. Olive has written about their relationship most movingly and in great detail. Edmund was highly regarded by all who knew him and I would so like to pass on the information I hold to any family members. I know that Edmund had several cousins, one Julian Street, who I believe to be the author who has a library at Princeton University named in his memory. Should this be of interest to you perhaps you would like to contact me through my e:mail address of firstname.lastname@example.orgSincerely, Joan Cocozza, Bristol, England.
