I think your research will help me more than mine will you.
I have similar info that I believe was copied out of our Brown Family Bible. This was typewritten on 3 pages. I found it in the home of my parents. My dad was Wm J Browne. The family name added the E in my grandfater's generation. James L Brown lived in Villenova, Chautaqua Co., New York in 1850.
It says: John W. Brown 1765 Altana Brown1770 Children Thomas L. Brown 1796 Susan C. Brown1800 James L. Brown1803(this is my family lineage) Avery Brown1806 William B. Brown 1808 Nathan P. Brown1810 Nancy A. Brown1812 Clara Brown1815
Then it is written: Grandfather of John W. Brown (b. 1831) married Altana Langworth. Yes, the name is spelled 'LANGWORTH' not LANGWORTHY, but isn't that just the way it is.
I have more Brown information (sketchy as it is), but I did not know that the Brown's came from Rhode Island or Canada during the time period of John and Altana.
I assume you're doing Langworthy research, not Brown research.I'm doing as much as I can on the WOMEN/MOTHERS so am very thankful for your research.
