Hi, I am also researching Matthias LaRose- Yes, he moved to Crawford Co., Wisconsin in 1880 and farmed. He was married to Belinda Case and was French Canadian. He changed from LaRose to Rose. He and Belinda had from what I can gather- King, Gerome, Emma, Wallis, Charlie, Robert, Amelai and Adelia who were twins. I hope I have that right- anyway they are descendants. Other descendants would be Burley, Leonard and others. King would be my great great grandfather- his son being Burley who married Pearl Elliott and had Hazel, Helen, Lenice, Camilla. Hazel married Millard Walton and had Robert and Peggy. Helen married Henry Hines and had no children, Lenice married Jack Fetty and had Nancy, Donna, and Maxine. Camilla married Virgil VanNatta and had Connie. I am wondering if there is any Native American/American Indian ancestors and would love to trace back as far as you are aware. I have a picture of Matthias and descendents. Mary J.e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org I know I spelled Matthias wrong It is Mathias. He settled in the Boscobel area of Wisconsin. According to the article I have in front of me- descendents also are Cyrus from a first marriage. Other descendentsalso are Leo, Wilma, and Birdie who married a Childs and moved toNorth Dakota. Hope this helps. PLEASE contact me with the info you have. We just had a family meeting today about this and are having a reunion in Prairie du Chien on Sept. 1st.
