Hi I am a direct descendent of the Metzgen's in Belize. I am also looking for information on my family history.My grandfathers name is theodore Metzgen, his father's name is Edward Metzgen, I believe his brother may be a very prominent historical figure named Monrad Siegfried Metzgen.i believe there father is Karl Alexander Metzgen.According to records I found Karl's father name is Charles Alexander Metzgen who was born in Denmark and relocated to Belize.I am so eager to learn more.I know nothing about the Metzgens who left Denmark to go to Belize.Apparently Wilhemina Metzgen Lassen is a relative.please follow up with any information you may have.Any information will be greatly appreciated.for years I have told people I knew nothing of my unique last name and come to find out I have some history.My mother looked up my brothers name and we came across Monrad siegfried Metzgen.I read the bio.I then looked in my family bible and all the facts added up.I can't believe there are other Metzgen's out there!
