I am including info on the Repper side of my family history from another reply and will go on from there on the Captain. I have Reppers (Ripper) in my family tree that goes back to the 1700's: Phillip and Mary (Gundrey) Ripper, son Phillip and Catherine (Meagea) married in 1779. They had 7 children, one was Richard Repper (note spelling change) who married Honour Jane in Illogan. They had 6 children: Catherine (married John Stephens in Perranzabuloe Parrish, Cornwall)) with 7 children: Ann, Catherine, Elizabeth, Thomas, Jane, John R. and Mary Louise (married John Hockett)and had 2 children (John Stephens Hockett b.1880 and Anna Catherine Hockett b. 1883 married John Albert Carl Raithel), Mary (1806 Cornwall), William (1807 Cornwall), Richard, Philip, and Ann (Married Richard Kernick, son Richard). I come from the Raithel lineage, John Albert Carl (Bert) was my great grandfather.
