It appears in my family history that four children of Laurance Lauranson and Marjory Smith Laurenson emmigrated to Ontario, they went first, I believe, to Halton county, specifically Nassagawaya twp around 1870.
Their names were Agnes, George, Ursula and Jessie. Shortly after this Jessie married my widowed great Grandfather John Hardy. Ursula stayed with Jessie and never married.
George and Agnes appeared on the 1991 census in Paisley ON.
In the 1910 census George was a farmer there but Agnes had disappeared. George was buried in Bear Creek cemetary, Paisley ON in 1923. There were cousins of our family down there and there name was Donelly, I remember that it was mentioned that they might have been missionary's in China.
A cousin of my Dad spoke of a son of this family who worked on the trains between Toronto and London and stopped off occasionaly for a visit with his Dad. His Dad was a son of Jessie Laurenson and John Hardy.
I wonder if Agnes married into that family late in her life, she would have been in her 60's at that time. These people are a mystery that refuses to be solved.
Does anyone know about these people
