From a family-history search and for what it is worth --
I am descended from William Lavely [12/18/1774 - 1/6/1854], son of Philip and Susan.
It appears that Philip was born in the late 1740s to early 1750s.He married Susan around 1770.In 1783, he appears in the Baltimore County tax records.Around 1795, he was living in Frederick Co MD.Two of his children were Philip Jr and William.Shortly after 1800, Philip Sr and Philip Jr moved to Westmoreland Co PA; William moved to Bullitt Co KY.
William m Theresa LIVERS 1/7/1779 - 10/27/1858.Some of their children were William, Henrietta, John, Ignatious, Robert A, James A, and Ann Elizabeth.
Sometime during the 1820s, William accompanied some of his children and moved to Daviess Co IN where some of the children stayed.William and Theresa returned to KY.He died at Bullitt Co KY on 1/4/1854; Theresa died on 10/27/1858.Both were buried in St John's Cemetery.
William & Theresa had a son, William, about 1801 - about 8/1872.The son William m Mary MATTINGLY about 1807. William and Mary had a son, Henry, 1839 - 7/8/1919.Henry served in the Civil War.
Henry married Anna Louise NOLAN [or Noland, or Knowland], a daughter of George NOLAN, 1842 - 1925, and Phoebe CLARK, 1841 - 1929.
James William was a son of Henry and Anna Louise.He was born 5/25/1899 in Daviess Co IN and died 6/26/1987 in Joliet IL.He married Corinne CARRICO, 10/14/1900 - 10/4/2000, from Loogootee IN.
James and Corinne had four children: James H, Rosamond L, Joe [me], and Jerry.
