www.familysearch.org has the 1880 US Census to search for free.There are a number of Lawcocks, all in Michigan, all related.Your grandma wouldn't have been born at that time, but she is probably the child of one of the male Lawcocks listed as "son" there.
I have just been in touch with someone who has some Lawcock data, but the name you mentioned isn't in her document.Perhaps she just hadn't gotten that far in your particular line.I found her by directly e-mailing someone from this genforum.I don't think anyone looks here too often!
When I get access again to later census records, I will look for you.It shouldn't be too hard to find your grandmother in the 1900 Census.You also might want to take advantage of the 2 week trial period for genealogy.com or ancestry.com.That gives you access to census records, among other things.I have tried genealogy.com.Some of the searches were a bit clunky.I'm hoping ancestry.com will be better when I try that.
