This is probably going back too far for most people, but I recently published an article on the history of the Lawless family of Connacht (specifically, Galway and Mayo), from their arrival there in the 1230's/40's up to the present day. Nothing had been written on them, so I thought I'd address that. I'm of the opinion that they are a branch of the Lawless family of Leinster, who arrived in Ireland in the years 1212-1220. I hope to publish a sequel, dealing this time with just the last two hundred years.
If you contact the Genealogical Society of Ireland via firstname.lastname@example.org and ask for the 2011 Journal (the article is "Lawless of Connacht" by Adrian James Martyn; that's me), they'll post it to you. Hope this is helpful to someone. Cheers!
