The date of birth of Edward Lawlor, the father of Sarah Ann, is calculated from his death record, as being abt. 1813. Place of birth is unknown but is probably in Ireland (?co. Kildare).

His wife is identified as Elizabeth Lawler; d. May 1, 1894, at Residence: Aberdeen Burra; Aberdeen Burra, SA. SA Reg. District Code: Bur., Bk: 218 / Page: 416; died aged 78y, Status: Widow of Edward LAWLER (Deceased Husband).
One child is recorded for the union of Edward Lawlor and Elizabeth Ganion, viz., Catharine Lawlor, born 25 Aug., 1855, at (unrecorded place) Registered at Adelaide, bk 5, p. 213. From this it appears that Edward married twice:
m1. (Before 1847) Mary Godfrey, in Co. Kildare, Ireland; she is the mother of Edward Lawlor (b. c. 1847); Sarah Ann Lawlor (b. c. 1849); John Joseph Lawlor (b. c. 1852) and Elizabeth Lawlor (b. c.1847)- all probably born in Co. Kildare, Ireland prior to immigration to Sth Australia.
m2. (Bef. 1855) Elizabeth Ganion, mother of Catharine Lawlor, b. 25 Aug., 1855, at (unrecorded place) Registered at Adelaide, Sth Australia.
