I am trying to discover where and when Buxton Lawn died and is buried.Born in 1759/60 he was the son of John and Mary Lawn of Norton Subcourse, East Anglia. His father was a tenant on the estate of William Windham A.D.C. to William Augustus,Duke of Cumberland. We know that Buxton was, for a time, baker to the Duke of York when in Bath and he was also a Corn Merchant.Having also been an Excise Man.He wrote a book about the Corn Trade published in c. 1801.He married Mary Dawson in 1781 and they had several children. Buxton b. 1782, Mary b. 1783, Betsy born 1785, Robert Lawn (Layton) born 1786, Catherine b 1787, William b 1789, Susan b. 1791, Henry born 1795 Ann b. 1797, Joseph b 1798, Mary b 1801 and Eliza b 1803. The family went to America but Buxton appears to have returned alone. He was visited by a son and grandson in about 1820. It is believed that he died in 1825.Can anyone help?
